If you find 2TB of disk storage space to be rather insufficient, then perhaps a 3TB drive would satisfy your lust for additional storage space. Generally, Seagate has released their 3TB GoFlex Desk hard drive, whereby this particular storage solution runs on a 3.5 inch hard drive that contains 5 storage platters, and runs on the Barracuda XT technology.
Basically, the Seagate 3TB GoFlex Desk was put to the test by several reviewers who eventually used the drive to transfer giga-loads of data that will take several hours of transfer time. The reviewers found out that the drive’s temperatures soared beyond the 140 degree Fahrenheit, which is pretty hot by standards. But according to Seagate, they affirmed that the 140 degree Fahrenheit operating heat is within their spec. Obviously, running at such a high temperature would definitely shorten the lifespan of the drive, don’t you think so?
Well the Seagate 3TB GoFlex Desk will be available for purchase for $250.
