Samsung Mass-produces 4-gigabit LPDDR2 Memory PDF Print E-mail

Modern smartphones are built with massive internal memory storage modules, and generally, Samsung is one of the mainstream memory chip makers in the world. And just recently, Samsung has announced that they have started mass producing their 4-gigabit LPDDR2 memory, which could only meant that future smartphones would definitely be equipped with a minimum of 4GB internal memory in the near future.

Apparently, the 4-gigabit LPDDR2 RAM is based on the 20-nanometer architecture. And although the 4GB module has just started to be mass produced, I’m guessing the existing 2GB low-power mobile memory would definitely be the mainstream standard this year. According to Samsung, the new chips would be able to transfer 1,066Mbps without chewing any significant amount of power from the smartphone.
