We all know that Microsoft got sued a couple of months ago, by a company claiming that the software giant has somehow stolen and infringed their XML-related patents. Basically, it seems that in the latest developments over the court-case, Microsoft appeared to be in the loosing end.
Well Microsoft has also apparently appealed to the court over the banning of the Word sales, but sadly, the court has rejected Microsoft’s initial appeal. Of course, Microsoft is in the process of establishing the second appeal, but surely, such scenarios are painting a pretty grim picture for the corporate giant.
Generally, if Microsoft fails to get their second appeal, it seems that the company might need to pay a whopping $240 million to i4i, just to settle the matter amicably with the company.
Do you think that Microsoft will be triumphant over the matter, or perhaps they might simply loose miserably at court?
