Korea Magnetic Recharging Roads PDF Print E-mail

Who would have thought that you can in fact freely recharge your vehicle while it’s moving on the road? Well it also seems that the Korean did that, whereby they have devised something called the Online Electric Vehicle which charges its batteries via the magnetically recharging road. According to the researchers, this particular electric vehicle functions on a battery which is 5 times smaller than conventional electric vehicle batteries.

Generally, the mechanism works on magnetic strips that will be placed along the road, and the electric vehicle will receive and collect power through a non-contact magnetic transmission from these recharging strips. Also, researchers might be implementing such systems for public transportations, such as busses in the region.

Do you think that such technology is feasible?
