Clean renewable energy is all the rage these days, as technology companies are pouring money into the respective sector, and further boasts that they deliver their services, which primarily runs on green energy. Nevertheless, Google is not an exception, whereby the company has reportedly invested a whopping $55 million into the wind energy.

Basically, the $55 million in investment was channeled to the Alta Wind Energy Center, whereby the energy center has the capacity to generate 1,550 megawatts of clean energy, which is sufficient to power at least 450,000 homes. Also, the wind turbines would be primarily based in the Mojave Dessert, and the turbines are developed by Terra-Gen Power. And when you sum up the total green investment by Google, it appears that the technology company has so far invested $400 million into the clean energy sector, which is a huge milestone achievement for the company, don’t you think?
