2012 Plug-in Prius to Include Selectable EV Mode |

Well, if you are thinking of purchasing the Prius, you’d definitely be delighted to know that Toyota has loads of toys in store for you via the upcoming 2012 Prius. Apparently, Toyota has disclosed that the upcoming 2012 Prius will come with selectable EV mode, in which allows the driver to select the type of driving mode, namely to improve the car’s electric-only range for local driving.
Basically, the 2012 Prius will come with an EV mode button, whereby the button can be used to turn off EV for highway or high speed driving, which tends to drain more battery power if the EV mode is turned on. Also, the latest Prius will come with full-battery regeneration capability too, whereby when you brake or driving downhill, these circumstances will regenerate the car’s batteries. Surely, these features will definitely have a significant impact on the car’s battery capacity.
